RIM, the Canadian smartphone manufacturer has launched a limited edition BlackBerry for the very first time. Along with Porsche Design, Research In Motion has unveiled the P’9981 which has most of the features of the BlackBerry Bold 9900, but it comes in a stainless steel casing, a leather back and a completely non-BlackBerry design.
The BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9981 runs BlackBerry 7 OS, 2.8-inch VGA display, it is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm processor, has a 5 megapixel camera, NFC capability and 8GB built-in storage. A designer smartphone would be all about its rich feel, and it seems that it has got it. The company has not been specific about the availability of the device, so no clue whether some units would arrive in India. All we know is that it is launching later this year. No word about the pricing, but it would definitely burn a hole in your pocket.
